Apps are just tools. What we really need are contexts—zones where we focus on one mode of work.
Step 1: Identify Your Workday Zones
- Deep Work (Code, Docs, Design)
- Comms (Slack, Calendar, Notion)
- Admin (Email, Invoicing, Planning)
Step 2: Build a Shortcut Map
Use Assignee to map your zones:
- Ctrl + Tab, 1 = Deep Work
- Ctrl + Tab, 2 = Comms
- Ctrl + Tab, 3 = Admin
- Ctrl + Tab, 4 = Learning
Each zone switches to all the windows/tools for that context.
Step 3: Reorder When Needed
Reprioritize your window order inside Assignee any time. No config needed.
Final Thought
Apps change. Your workday doesn't. Map your shortcuts to context, and you’ll move faster with less thought.
